An International Money Transfer (IMT) is a fast, secure and convenient electronic payment method of transferring funds around the world (also known as a Telegraphic Transfer).

Global, secure and timely
  • Global - IMTs are accepted in a comprehensive range of destinations and in a large number of currencies
  • Secure - transfers are made via an authenticated electronic network
  • Timely - payments may be made up until the day they're due for same day receipt (in most cases) to the payee
  • Transfers can be made direct to a specified bank.

 

NB. Payment-related information, such as sales contracts or invoice numbers, can also be included within the payment message.

Receiving a
transfer

The sender should contact their local bank and ask to send an IMT.
