ANZ Managed Investment Funds

ANZ Managed Investment Funds offer a range of five professionally managed investment funds that spread your investment across a wide range of assets such as shares, listed property, fixed interest and cash.

A prospectus has been registered with the Registrar of Financial Service Providers. Read the registered prospectus (PDF 2.03MB).

The ANZ Managed Investment Funds are designed to be an easy and efficient way to diversify your investments and are intended for medium to long-term investment. With five funds to choose from, ANZ Managed Investment Funds offer an investment choice to suit the needs of investors with differing attitudes to risk.

The funds are Unit Trusts, which means your money is pooled with that of other investors. Pooling of money with other investors gives you access to investment opportunities which you may not have the opportunity to invest in directly.

There are five multi-sector investment funds: the Conservative Fund; the Conservative Balanced Fund; the Balanced Fund; the Balanced Growth Fund; and the Growth Fund.

The funds are managed by experienced investment manager, OnePath (NZ) Limited - one of the largest fund managers in New Zealand (by funds under management) in the retail sector*. OnePath is fully owned by ANZ National Bank Limited, part of ANZ Group.

The total fee you will pay for investing in the ANZ Managed Investment Funds ranges from 1.3% to 1.5%. The Total Annual Fee includes all the fees and expenses charged to the ANZ Managed Investment Funds. There are also transaction costs (e.g. brokerage). These costs are not included in the Total Annual Fee; they are instead reflected in investment income. The Total Annual Fee is payable from the ANZ Managed Investment Funds, not directly by you.

A breakdown of the Total Annual Fee by fund is set out in the table below:

The Total Annual Fee is calculated on the net asset value of the Fund and includes GST. Because the Total Annual Fee is payable from the Fund and not directly by you, it will affect any returns you receive by investing in a Fund. Fees are subject to change from time to time and the fees may be altered.

Management fee

We charge a management fee for managing the Funds. The management fee is calculated on the gross asset value of each Fund on each valuation day, and is paid monthly in arrears.

Trustee fee

A fee is paid to the trustee for supervising your investment. The trustee fee is calculated on the gross asset value of each Fund on each valuation day, and is paid quarterly in arrears.

If a Fund invests in another fund with the same Manager and Trustee, you only pay one trustee fee (i.e. the underlying fund’s trustee fee will be rebated). This is an arrangement with the Trustee and this may change without notice to investors.

Expenses

Expenses such as audit, registry, legal and postage fees may be charged to the Funds. We have capped these expenses at 0.153% p.a. Expense recovery is calculated on the net asset value of each Fund on each valuation day, and is paid quarterly in arrears. By investing in these Funds, you accept and authorise these charges.

A Fund may be charged expenses by a related party of OnePath. These transactions will be conducted on standard commercial terms.

Underlying fund costs

The Funds invest in other managed funds managed by OnePath (known as the underlying funds). The underlying funds also incur costs. Underlying fund costs may include trustee fees, custody fees, external management fees and other expenses such as audit and postage. These costs are within the unit price of the underlying funds.

For further information on how and when these fees are charged, and the expenses payable, please see the ANZ Managed Investment Funds Investment Statement available by calling 0800 269 238. Terms defined and references construed in this web page have the same meaning and construction set out in the current Investment Statement.

OnePath (NZ) Limited may alter the fees set out above and introduce new fees from time to time.

With ANZ Managed Investment Funds, you have a choice of five different funds to invest in. Each fund invests in a different mix of assets and has different levels of risk and potential return.

A description of each fund and its benchmark allocation to each asset class is set out below, as well as the aggregate permissible ranges. The benchmark is each fund’s long-term target allocation to each asset class.

The actual asset allocations will vary from the benchmarks, due to market movements or the Manager varying the allocations away from each benchmark at times, with the aim of managing risk, increasing potential returns or managing cashflow requirements. Changes from each benchmark allocation may potentially be significant in certain market conditions but are restricted by the ranges shown.

The benchmarks and the ranges may vary from time to time as agreed between the Trustee and the Manager.
