We’re serious about helping you to save. That’s why if you can save at least one instance of $20 (as a single deposit) during your account’s key-date cycle each month (and not make any withdrawals) we’ll reward you with bonus interest and you’ll go in the draw to win great cash prizes!

Rewards

This savings account helps you achieve your goals by rewarding you with:

  • interest on every dollar
  • bonus interest when you make a single deposit of at least $20 or more during your account's monthly key-date cycle* (not including credit interest) and make no withdrawals
  • a chance to win each month - there’s a top prize of $10,000, plus 90 prizes of $1,000 to be won.

You’ll get one entry into the monthly prize draw for every dollar your balance increases within your key-date cycle. So the more you save each month, the more chances you have to win in the monthly draw.

Customers with an ANZ transactional account^, get double entries in the monthly prize draw as well.

Interest

Interest is calculated daily and credited monthly on your account’s key date. Your monthly key date will either be the day on which you opened your account, the end of each calendar month or another date of your choosing when you opened your account.

You get 24 hours a day, seven days a week access to withdraw, transfer money, pay bills or make account enquiries through:

Withdrawals

Built-in safeguards will help you to save. You can make one free withdrawal in your account's monthly key date cycle – after that, you pay $5 for each withdrawal.

Because we want to help you save – if you don’t save at least one instance of $20 during your key-date cycle each month, you won’t get your bonus interest or entries into the month’s prize draw as well.

We'll waive the establishment fee on your first automatic payment from another ANZ account into your ANZ Serious Saver account.

Your monthly key date will either be either the day on which you opened your account, the end of each calendar month or another date of your choosing when you opened your account.
